Review: |
This is clearly an outstanding book that needs to be in the hands of all who sincerely want the church to be reaching people for Christ. This is a book that challenges us to face some very important questions about the nature of community. In particular, the author has some extremely insightful and important things to say about the failure of small groups to actually create the kind of community God needs if people are truly to live Christ-like lives. Through some honest searching the author has discovered some significant gaps in small group ministry which can only be supplimented by a focus on neighborhoods and some key life-style issues. The author discusses matters of common purpose and place in a way that will certainly lead church leaders to reassess the way they encourage people to relate to each other and to the mission of the church. |
