The idea of the pastor as "coach" is going to make so much sense once you get into this book. It is all about a kind of leadership that fits for the life of church. So many ideas about leadership that work in other areas of life, just never fit for the church. Being a coach though is a logical idea and one that is consistent with our basic theology of the church. Bandy is extemely astute and insightful. Bandy, moreover, knows what is happening as churches learn to adapt to new mission opportunities. You're going to love reading this book!
