This book is not a polemic against the church growth movement. It is written by a knowledgeable authority about church growth who is willing to face the fact that some churches grow at the expense of others. Something is wrong when practices which are suppose to benefit the kingdom of God actually fail to reach lost people. What sets this book apart is that in addition to the critical analysis of the problem there are valuable ideas and suggestions for churches to use which sincerely want to reach people who've never been inside a church. There is also real depth to this book.
