Review: |
The most important course most clergy only receive after seminary is called "Congregational Development." It is a subject learned usually the hard way, as a pastor exercises leadership in a congregation. Fortunately there are more and more helpful resources, and It is no longer necessary to make this learning so painful. We strongly recommend this particular book for all clergy to have as It is sound, scholarly, but relevant and usable book on this most important topic. Especially helpful will be the analytical tools used for assessing and understanding congregations. Any pastor moving into a new church or trying to figure out how to help a church deal with some change issues nees to have these tools available. This book is about as solid and sound as any book that is available today! |
