This book is a revised expanded edition of an earlier book called “Reinventing Your Church”. What a great book church leaders to read, ponder, and act upon. The author is a great communicator as he insightfully looks at our 21st century missionary challenges. This new world (post-modern in McLaren's book) is filled with opportunities if only we can find the strategies needed to adapt the church for this new time. You'll love the concept of the "matrix" as this is the background in which we must live and serve. In this context McClaren moves us to go beyond old denominational issues to find ourselves less issue focused and more oriented towards real communication and engagement with people who are seeking truth and meaning. You'll love this book!
